NANNA SCHOU

Nanna Schou is a goldsmith and jewellery designer with a studio in the heart of Copenhagen. Since graduating as a goldsmith in 2005, she has combined traditional craftsmanship with a clear, contemporary design language. Her pieces are mostly one-of-a-kind – inspired by personal stories, memories, and special moments in life. Characteristic of her work is the tension between geometry and organic forms, between architectural clarity and natural lightness. High-quality materials, careful craftsmanship, and durable design are always at the forefront.

Nanna, you live in Copenhagen and have your own studio there. What does it mean to you to be part of Aveluene?
It means that I can share my jewellery with people beyond Denmark's borders. That's a special opportunity for me.

You are the first true goldsmith on our platform and you craft your jewellery entirely with your own hands. What makes this work so special for you?
It's a true craft, and I love working with metals. There's something almost magical about transforming raw materials into finished pieces of jewellery.

Where do you get the inspiration for your designs?
Always from a combination of nature and architecture.

What material do you prefer to work with?
18-karat gold – always.

How would you describe your style?
Graphic and classic, with an asymmetrical touch.

Is there a particular design or piece of jewellery that is especially close to your heart?
Rings. I love designing my angular rings – especially the double ones.
